Hank Bauer was a star outfielder for the New York Yankees from 1948 to 1959. Bauer played on seven World Series-winning New York Yankees teams, and he holds the World Series record for the longest hitting streak (17 games). Following his playing career, Bauer managed the KC / Oakland Athletics and Baltimore Orioles. He led the Orioles to their first World Series title in franchise history in 1966 and was inducted into the Orioles Hall of Fame in 1990. Bauer passed away in 2007 at the age of 84.
