Lance Berkman spent the first 11 seasons of his big league career with the Houston Astros and was a key member of the St. Louis Cardinals' 2011 World Series championship team. 2011 was a comeback year for Berkman, as he was one of the Cardinals team leaders in batting average, home runs and RBI. He was named the NL Comeback Player of the Year, as he and the Cardinals defeated the Texas Rangers 4 games to 3 in the World Series, giving him his first championship in his career. In Game 6 of the World Series, Lance went 3 for 5 including a HR, 3 RBI and 4 runs. In the 10th, after Josh Hamilton had homered to give Texas a two-run lead, Lance Berkman's two-strike, two-out single up the middle tied the game. The Cardinals went on to win this game, which has been described by many as one of the greatest games in history. The 6-time All-Star hit .423 in the '11 World Series. Berkman was signed by the Texas Rangers for the 2013 season.
