Joe Bowman began his career in baseball as a pitcher, and also often used as a pinch hitter, for the Philadelphia Athletics, New York Giants, Philadelphia Phillies, Pittsburgh Pirates, Boston Red Sox and Cincinnati Reds. He went on to become a successful baseball scout after his player career, and was a key part of assembling the Oakland Athletics team that won three World Series Championships from 1972 to 1974. Bowman passed away in 1990 at the age of 80. This vintage Rawlings official National League (Giamatti) baseball is hand signed by Joe Bowman.
