Hammerin' Hank Greenberg was a star 1st baseman for the Detroit Tigers in the 1930s and 1940s. The 5-time All-Star was a 2-time AL MVP, 4-time AL RBI leader, 4-time AL home run leader, and won the World Series in 1935 and 1945. His jersey number 5 has been retired by the Tigers, and he was enshrined in the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1956. Greenberg passed away in 1986 at the age of 75.
