Ernie Banks Autographed Official National League Baseball Inscribed 9/17/1953

This Rawlings official National League commemorative Jackie Robinson 50th Anniversary baseball was hand signed and inscribed "9/17/1953" by Ernie Banks. This autographed baseball includes authentication from PSA/DNA.

Ernie Banks, known as “Mr. Cub”, played his entire 19-year career with the Chicago Cubs. The 11-time All-Star and 2-time National League MVP, collected 512 home runs during his career. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1977, and his jersey #14 was retired by the Cubs in 1982. His enthusiasm for baseball was contagious, as exemplified by his signature phrase, “Let’s play two!” Banks passed away in January 2015 at the age of 83.
